A two-story white house with black windows, a gravel driveway, and a small garden in front, set against a backdrop of trees.

The Process

It starts with finding a piece of property that is buildable.

Use our preferred real estate agent:

Once you have purchased the property we will help coordinate and execute:

  • Survey of the Land

  • Clearing and Grading

  • Foundation and Driveway

  • Septic / Well or City Utility hookups

  • Permitting process

During that process you will be meeting with our design specialist and a Westchester Modular designer to pick out your home type, its floor plan and finishes:

Architectural floor plan of a house's second floor, featuring four bedrooms, three bathrooms, laundry room, and closets.
Architectural drawing of a two-story house showing front, left, right, and rear elevations, labeled "Culloway Elevations.

What Type of Home

Each style home has a variety of layouts and sized that can be fully customized.

Check all the options from the factory:

Why Modular

  • Quality Control – The construction is done in a factory, not outside in the rain and the snow resulting in a consistently better end product.

  • Faster Build Times – Choosing the design and finishes take most of the time as the factory can build your home in under a month.
  • Fully CustomizableFloor plans can be adjusted for any design and finish. If the factory doesn’t offer it the home can be shipped without the finishes and Fine Home Contracting can take it from there.

How Its Done

A modular home section is being placed onto the foundation by a crane, with workers guiding it into position.
A crane lifts a partially assembled house section onto a multi-axle trailer labeled "Oversize Load," with trees in the background.
A crane lifts a prefabricated house section onto the foundation of a partially constructed home in a wooded area.
