This kitchen remodel in Derby, Connecticut, began with replacing the original, dated oak cabinets with beautiful blue cabinets featuring full-extension drawers and soft-close doors. Upgrades also included granite countertops, a tile backsplash, and under-cabinet and recessed lighting. Additionally, we installed a new picture window in front of the sink and added a large island.
The design creates a fluid floor plan with easy access to the refrigerator, sink, and stove, following the “kitchen triangle” concept. Particular attention was given to the choice of cabinet colors and stone materials for the backsplash and countertops, using airy light tones to create a spacious, open feel.
