Our client purchased this property as a summer home. The property featured two smaller buildings connected by a deck in the middle.
We removed the old deck and built a new addition, bridging the two buildings. Given the property’s location on the side of a mountain, we used building piers and spray foam to seal the envelope. To match the existing finishes of the buildings, we installed rough sawn pine siding for the exterior and wide pine flooring inside.
Custom cabinets were crafted by our cabinet maker in Bristol, CT. The contemporary, clean finish with floating shelves was paired with a butcher block countertop for the oversized island.
